Yukimura wandered into the Great Hall in search of food. Doing his duty, trying not to think too much of those he left behind, trying to see things coming that he would need, if not necessarily want, was more exhausting mentally than he expected. But, as he'd told Octavian, the predictions and advice of his people's seers was to be relied upon. Even if it wasn't what he wanted to hear or had hoped to hear.

Cake was something new to him here. And it was plated up as if it were meant to be eaten. He rather liked it, though not the frosting. The frosting was too sweet and sticky for his tastes. He ate out the cake portion, leaving behind the frosting. A strange sensation passed over him and he felt younger and much chillier. He looked down to discover his clothing had left him. "Well, this is unexpected," he said, his voice much younger than he remembered hearing it. He was maybe as old as Sasuke now, about 18 or 20, just barely legally an adult. And the cold was not kind to his anatomy.

Brienne was quietly freaking out. She had a penis! She had been carrying Tyrion Lannister around as a pet for several weeks! Of these two, she could not immediately determine which was the worse fate.

Then she noticed Yukimura. Relieved at someone sympathetic being around, but concerned that he looked cold, she approached.

"What... happened to you?" she rumbled in her now much deeper voice.

Yukimura looked at the man approaching him. He laughed, perhaps a touch nervously. "I'm sorry, have we met?" he asked. The nudity didn't bother him, it was the familiarity with which he was addressed.

"We did," Brienne said resignedly. "Before we both ate chocolate. It's Brienne." She waited for some sign of recognition, and fought hard not to commence pacing.

Yukimura smiled. "You are quite changed, Brienne. I would guess that I am not that much changed, then? What an odd happening." He glances around and then back at Brienne. She...he...isn't that bad to look at. "Is this a frequent occurrence?" He laughs. "Would I have changed gender if I'd eaten the frosting?"

Brienne sank into a nearby chair with obvious relief. "Eating the frosting is probably not a good idea," she agreed. "And you look... younger, and you're not wearing any clothes. I think maybe the enchanted food effects people differently." She glanced around surreptitiously, but Tyrion the ex-tribble was no longer in the room, thank the Seven.

"I feel younger," he agreed. He looks down again. "Does not wearing clothes bother you?" he asked, looking around. "I'm sure I could find something." He is relatively sure that a society that looks negatively on sexuality probably looks negatively on nudity, which is just absurd.

It wasn't society's fault Brienne was a prude.

"No. You're fine," she hastened to assure him. "I just thought you might be... I don't know... cold." She was fairly certain she was blushing, which... did not help her case much.

Yukimura noticed the blush, finding it curiously telling. He'd have to explore later, when they were both in their normal forms, to see what caused her to blush. For now, he took a cloth off one of the tables and wrapped it around himself. "It is cold here. A hot spring or a fire would be nice. Do you know how long this will last and if my clothes will return?"

Brienne shook her head. "It shouldn't last lontg, I don't think. But it seems to vary. If she knew how long she was going to be stuck in a man's body, she could at least count on an end to this particular indignity.

Yukimura sighed. "I wonder if my clothing will come back. I rather liked it," he pouted. He then smiled. "Such a small thing to be worried about, isn't it?"

Brienne found her eyes drawn to Yukimura's nudity, although she quickly looked away, praying that he hadn't noticed. Especially since he was not a chore to look at, unlike... well... herself. Not that she'd looked at herself as a man, because she honestly didn't want to know.

"I'm sure they'll turn up," she said, trying to keep her voice light. "At least you remember who you are."

Yukimura had noticed, but since she seemed so uncomfortable, he decided he would wait until later to see if her interest would ammount to anything. "It would be rather dreadful to be without clothing and memory," he agreed lightly. Then, deciding to see if she'd open up to him at all, he asked, "You don't seem very comfortable?"

Poor Yukimura. He wanted her to open up, he would get it.
"The one thing I always wanted, more than anything else, was to be a man. I thought it would be easier, somehow. Back home they mock me by calling me Brienne the Beauty. But they wouldn't if I was a man. They'd have to acknowledge that I was as good as they are... But this..." She made a sharp gesture at her newly accessorized body. "I'm just me, only now I don't know how anything works."

Yukumura looked at her quite frankly. "You are good. I'd like to spar with you again. That other didn't realize you have the advantage of them because they'll underestimate you is their own fault and loss." He laughed. "I've found it an advantage to fight in women's clothing because most warriors will hesitate to fight seriously against a woman."

Brienne was thoughtful. "I had wondered about your style of dress," she admitted. "But I assumed it was just something all warriors did where you came from. And... Thank you. I enjoyed sparring with you as well. It's been too long since I've had a good partner."
