Ripples and Tsunami (Closed RP, A, Kusuriyuri)

There are times when years and years of practice, more years than ever given a human to live, are the only thing that keep reactions in check. Learning control in the face of that would take his life if he broke, learning to persist through and not flinch when seeking the truth, the discipline to keep going, regardless; Kusuriyuri had had these lessons drilled into him many times over his life.

To hear that Matt, one of his students, had been taken from the school by a phenomenon as poorly understood as their arrival was not easy. He had liked the boy with the knack for making wards.

And now, he had to tell his deshi. He couldn't hold to the hope it would go easily. He knew better and such a hope was a lie. He would not lie, not even to himself.

So, with a heavy heart, he sent a note to A via house elf.

Deshi,

At your earliest convenience, please come see me in my office.

His office would be more of a neutral ground, he hoped. Not the familiar comfort of his room, but he knew A worked with associations. He didn't want his room or the gardens or greenhouses associated with such grief. His office also lacked any plant matter, which given A's growing skills, was a strong consideration. Kusuriyuri had not made wards against A. Kitsune wards would not work and he could not control plants. His office, though, was warded enough, he hoped, that not having a specific ward would not be an issue. This hope he allowed himself. It wasn't a lie, it was a belief that A did work on some channel he'd already blocked.
