Kyuujutsu on the grounds ((Open RP))

Yukimura is slightly restless from the lack of fighting around the school. As a warrior, he understands the need for practice, for keeping one's skills sharp, but has yet to find a worthy opponent with the sword so he turns to a solitary art, Kyuujutsu, archery. Those who observe will notice that his bow is asymmetrical. Those familiar with ( Read more... )

Brienne's habit of late was to take a morning run by the lake. She, too, had yet to meet anyone she could spar with, and she, too, was feeling the loss.

So it was convenient for everyone that she happened to note Yukimura. At first she took him for a woman, but she realized her mistake after a closer inspection. Being an unusually tall, broad-shouldered, muscular, small-breasted woman meant that, at least where she came from, people were always mistaking her for male, so she tried to be more considerate.

She watched the strange archer land his next shot, and then allowed herself a smile and a round of applause.

Yukimura turned, startled a moment then bows. "Hello," he called, striding over, the bow held loosely at his side. "I am Sanada Yukimura. I don't think we've had the pleasure of meeting," he says with a laugh and a bow. "Do you shoot?"

Brienne returned his bow. "I'm Brienne of Tarth. And I'm not much of an archer. "She indicated her sword, Oathkeeper, which she habitually wore. "The sword is my preferred weapon, actually. But I recognize skill when I see it."

"It's a shame I didn't bring my sword with me, then," Yukimura replies with a pout and genuine disappointment. "I've been wanting a well-skilled opponent to fight." After a moment, he brightens. "If you'll wait, I'll get it."

Ryuk is not easily fazed, so when an arrow went right through him as he walked along eating an apple, he merely shrugged and turned to where the arrow came from.

"So we meet again," Yukimura says, his bow in front of him, ready to draw again though he knows it will do no good.

"Oh so you shot that arrow. Ten points. Good thing human weapons don't work on me." He nonchalantly continued to eat his apple.

"Yes," Yukimura replies. "It is an expected skill. And you...eat apples?"

Albus Dumbledore has to interrupt his daily constitutional and admire the young man's skill at archery.

He stands and watches for a while.

Could he be the one human Yukimura won't hit on? Inquiring minds want to know

Yukimura was aware of being watched, but as the one watching him said nothing, he finished the quiver of arrows he was shooting before turning to them, the bow held loosely at his side. He tilts his head at the man in curiosity before bowing. "Good day," he says merrily.

Albus bows back. What? He's served as Supreme Mugwump of the International Confederation of Wizards. He should know good manners the world over.

"And a good day to you. I am Albus Dumbledore. Please, don't allow my curiosity to interrupt you."

"Sanada Yukimura, and I would need to retrieve the arrows before continuing. Conversation is no interruption now," he says with a laugh. His mind though is turning. "Are you the one from the question or do you share his name?" he asks, for one of his juuyuushi is the second to carry a particular name.

Sunflora was two foot seven. So arrows fly over her head anyway.

But she saw the arrow first, and saw how pointy that was.

Pointy things=hurt. And probably poisonous, too.

So she used Razor Leaf to slice it to pieces.

She didn't even see Yukimura.

As he'd thought. The talking flower could be dangerous. "Sorry," Yukimura calls out, not moving closer. "I did not see you before I loosed it. Are you alright?"

"Oh, that was you?" Only to those perceived as an enemy. "I thought someone bad was attacking me."

Yukimura laughed. "No, I was just practicing. That's quite a defense you have there." He did think she was kenyou, she was too cheerful for that, but he did think she'd be a formidable opponent, were they ever to fight.

Yukimura's form was excellent, this Kurama could tell from a distance. Even so, agitation and unrest still touched his posture, though every arrow hit its mark, and every draw was mathematically precise.

He is still so very lonely, which was a terrible pity. He watched, standing far enough behind Yukimura as not to be a distraction, but close enough that he knew he was there.

Yukimura felt Kurama's arrival. "You seem at your ease," he said easily while pulling drawing another arrow. "Rather pleased, I'd say," he added as he loosed the arrow. He turned to look at the kitsune, smiling. "You're radiating."

Kurama blinked. "Am I?" was it that easy to tell? "Being here has been unexpectedly good to me," he admitted, a little smile on his face. He nodded to the bow. "Is that all you will practice today?"

Yukimura smiled with a shrug. "I may be a little more used to sensing demonic-like powers." With this statement, he easily relegates the kenyou to their status of less than demons. He allows the rest of the statement to pass. "This is all I brought with me. Do you shoot?" he asks, offering the bow.
