A had a gift for L already, of course, and one for Kusuriyuri as well. But he'd bought those on his trip with Matt, so he could scarcely have chosen a gift for Matt then. And there was a present for Mello to consider, as well.

That's why he and L are going on a shopping trip now. They've set it up in advance, and now A is just going to meet L as arranged, knocking lightly on his door.
