A well dressed young man walked into the room. He did not seem unsettled or confused to find himself in this place. In fact he seamed quite comfortable and aloof. He was dressed in an elaborate silver and blue suit, lace and embroidery in abundance. He could have just stepped out of an eighteenth century romance

"I prefer hard cheeses, but you, sir, are evading the question."

Howl smiled, a polite smile that some might call charming. "But it is a good question, to find out the preferences of others. What type of cheese would you have with a white wine? I hear Smoked Gouda is good."

"Smoked Gouda could go with a red wine as well. If you're going to have a white wine, Mini Babybel is a good match. Of course," and here the Chairman gave his own maybe-charming smile, "it would help if you named a specific wine."

"How about blackberry?" he replied, though in truth he wasn't much of a wine drinker.

"Crème fraiche."

Kinda sad that he could answer that without blinking.

[wicked_howell]

"What other foods do you enjoy? You seem to be well versed in cheese and wine," Howl simply figured the man a food critic of some sort, or perhaps a member of the upper crest.

Given that he knows at least one French duke, upper crest is a viable guess.

"I enjoy all kinds of food. I run an academy specifically to create the best dishes in the world."

[wicked_howell]

"Truly a feat! It must be wonderful to work at what you love doing. I can imagine the sort of dinner parties you would get invited to with that sort of environment. Do you get to go to many?" Howl felt he had safely turned the conversation away from himself and properly on the other man, where all proper forms of questions and sharing should always be.

"Some. In recent years I haven't been able to go to as many as I used to."

[wicked_howell]

"Hopefully you aren't missing anything, though perhaps it is they who are missing out with out your presence."

[gourmetchairman]

"With challengers challenging my Iron Chefs often? I've got more excitement then they are."

[wicked_howell]

"That sounds important, and quite fun. Though I could never see myself in a cooking challenge; I do assume its about cooking."

[gourmetchairman]

"Oh, yes," he said with that look in his eyes he always get when talking about his Iron Chefs.

[wicked_howell]

"I commend you on such success than, and may many more years come." Howl made it a point to try and be on his best with people who were important. In the end it was always the best way.

Kitchen Stadium would only have regular battles for a little while longer, but the sentiment was appreciated.
