It took a few days, but her dad sent a couple systems. (To send more would get expensive.) So she got her DS and her Gamecube. Anything else she'd have to send on of them back.
She was looking for two people. One was Tomo, who still had her camera full of yaoi goodness. The other was Matt, who needed an ass beating in Soul Calibur 2.
She found the latter.
"Matt! Matt! The Gamecube came! So I've got Soul Calibur 2 now."
Matt glanced up and grinned. "Awesome! I found an oldschool PS2 in Ravenclaw, but that wasn't one of the games I could find... Want a fry?" He gestured to his plate. "Where'd you end up, anyway?"
"Arigato!" Konata said as she picked a fry off the plate. "Some weird fanon house named Sparklypoo. It's very pink. I'm probably gonna try to sneak in another house."
"Ravenclaw's okay. Y'know. If you've got earplugs." He sighed and dipped a fry into some of the home-made tomato sauce. "I've not seen anywhere else, though... wait. A fanon house? You're saying this place has a fandom?"
"I don't know, it didn't exist before, that I can remember. Cool, house elf!" Konata exclaimed as she waved the house elf down, asking for a chocolate cornet.
"Huh. Weird." Matt grinned. "Man, just wait til that thing brings you your chocolate." He gestured to his meal. "This was what they got me when I asked where the nearest McDonalds was."
"Well, that's a perfectly good excuse to sneak out and find it yourself, then!"
The house elf did know what a chocolate cornet was, and brought it to Konata, where she began to eat it in her usual custom-biting into the thin end, then licking at the chocolate that threatened to escape from the other end.
"Heh. Believe me, I will be. But this isn't half bad, really..."
Matt really wasn't into sweet stuff, but he made a mental note to tell Mello about the cornet thing Konata was eating. If he thought it looked good, Mello would probably have a fit or something.
"So how's Hogwarts been treating you? When'd the Gamecube arrive?"
"Got it earlier today. Got my printer too, so I can print up some pictures I took. Which reminds me! Once I get my camera back from Tomo, I'd like a picture with you."
