Yet ANOTHER Christmas owl post!

Dec 27, 2007 16:50

((To keep things short, posting all my pups' gifts in one post. Also, just listing who got what rather than doing tons and tons of LJ-cuts. Backdated to Christmas morning - sorry, it's so late, but I've had maybe a few minutes at a time to compose anything at the laptop since Christmas AND IT WAS STARTED ON TIME SO THERE. If you are not on this list, you're getting the gift at the party or you got it in an owl reply or because the mun is still working on it, darn it.))

May had been so wrapped up in coordinating the Secret Santa and baking way too many cookies (she'd accidentally tripled the recipe, oops) that she almost forgot to send out her gifts. Fortunately, with the help of Alley and a couple owls, she did so:

Mel - A Lush gift set
Brice - A handful of albums she saw in his collection when she was moving, some sugar cookies, with the note: There are a lot of collectors who get two copies - one to listen to, one to keep boxed up. These, you can listen to.
Tomo - a copy of The Zombie Survival Guide with the note: I'm going to regret this.
Jaime - A decent pair of all-weather insulated gloves that should let him move his hands but protect from the snow, and a note: For the next time you wander out into "real" snow like an idiot. And for when Tomo remembers she planned to ambush us with snow.
Laura - Another Lush gift set, and the note: Sorry I've been so scarce. Hope to see you at the party!

Jaime didn't forget - May had talked him into being her guinea pig in the cookie-baking, and had rewarded him with about a third of the results when she realized she'd made too much. Thus Sancho was flying all around Hogwarts for most of the morning. Which was good since the raven was too tired to really follow through with his shiny-stealing tendencies for once.

May - A book of El Paso photographs with the note: Because I suck at explaining what stuff looks like back home when you ask. This book might make more sense than me.
Tomo - A remedial book on magic geared to identify common mistakes entitled How Not To Set Things on Fire. The note reads: Don't take this the wrong way, Fido, I'm doing this for the sake of everyone else.
George - A small gift basket with an assortment of hot chocolate, marshmallows and a ceramic snowman mug, as well as a packet of chocolate chip cookies, and the note: Merry Christmas, and thanks. You know what for.
Molly - A small ceramic plaque and some sugar cookies with the note: For your office now that you're the school therapist. Thanks for not writing me off. There's nothing special in these cookies, sorry.

Christmas? Tomo, forget Christmas? Of course not. No holiday that involved presents would be forgotten! She somehow managed to bully the owls into sending her packages out.

Dwight - A faux coonskin cap, with the note: Hey Douche! Thought of you when I saw this. Dead animals suit you! Merry Christmas from one of your ex-wives (NO HARD FEELINGS, RIGHT?)
Kagura - A box of Honeydukes chocolates, plus a compass, a warm fleece jacket and a flare gun, with the note: In case you got lost like I did! It's cold in the dungeons! If you see anything weird moving down there, they don't like loud noises and lights! If you're not lost, where are you? Didja run off with Demyx or what?
Osaka - A stuffed panda and a book of random trivia, as well as a box of Honeydukes chocolates
Demyx - A guitar pick, a tin of hot chocolate and the note: Share this with somebody special! (Hint. Hint.)
Jaime - A copy of Shag! A Beginner's Guide and a copy of Sex for Dummies, with the note: Hey, you actually have a girlfriend, you need to know this stuff!
Mayday - A copy of Singing for Dummies and the note: Keep trying, Basketball Girl! You'll get it someday!
