((To avoid spam, spam, wonderful spam, I'll put Lola and Brice's owls in the same post. =) Merry Christmas, HH!))
It was sort of difficult, getting enough owls to cooperate. They were constantly snuggling up to Brice, crooning at him in some sort of owl slang, and he had to bribe them with treats and happy vibes (mostly treats) to make them carry the damn presents away. He'd had enough trouble picking the things out to need this as well.
"Alright, off with you," he muttered and scratched one on the head. "Ho ho ho, or whatever."
In Mel’s stocking lies a
Milk Chocolate Princess, with a hot pink bow around the box. Alright, so the bow is a bit crooked. It's not his fault he's not that good with them, and it’s the thought that counts anyway.
Underneath the Christmas tree lies three presents, individually and not really expertly wrapped in red paper. The first is
square and not very big. It has a sticker of an evil, winking smiley on it. The second is slightly larger and contains a wooden music box, not very extravagant, but if you wind it up it plays “Breaking Free,” from High School Musical. Finally there’s a heavy package, containing two hardcover books: one biography on Jane Austen, and The Mysteries of Udolpho.
A small statue of an
Egyptian cat has been safely tucked in a wooden box and wrapped in bright orange paper. There’s a card with a sparkly Christmas tree, and a hand-written message.
Merry Christmas, Lollie. Put this on top of your fireplace, if you ever get one, and remember that whatever happens, you make a cute cat.
Brice.
A package arrives, carried by House-elf that won’t reveal who sent it, and who’ll disappear instantly before she can torture it out of him. Inside the package there’s a carefully wrapped set of
Angels vs. Devils Tic Tac Toe. Someone added a generic Hallmark Christmas card, but there’s no written greeting, no clue as to who sent it.
It’s basically a small container filled with a clear liquid, and shaped a bit like a breath freshener spray. The label reads Scorpion Repellent, and has a tiny picture of such an animal in the bottom corner. The card, which has the picture of a fireplace, reads,
Have no idea if it works. But hey, it can’t hurt, right? Spray on anything (not people, though, not sure why, maybe it repels those, too) to make sure the bugs stay away.
Merry Christmas!
Brice.
Brice left the Owlery. And, due to some coincidence, Lola missed him with just a few minutes. She of course just had to coo something to make the owls flock and eagerly stick out their legs... Lola just had a friendlier disposition.
A pair of
shocking pink slippers, wrapped in pink paper. Mel likes pink, she's getting pink. In a smaller wooden case lies a glittering
trinket box, with a note attached.
Merry Christmas, Boo! I figured you needed something to put all your shiny stuff in. That boy of yours seems so keen on giving them to you. =P
Love and kisses!

The owl is carrying a basket of stuff, mostly to make it easier for the bird. At the top lies three chocolate bars from
Montezuma, Chilli, Three Pepper and Cinnamon, tied around with a green ribbon. Digging a bit deeper you'll find a nice and warm
Cuddlewrap, wrapped in blue paper. A note has been pinned to it.
Not a warming spell, but it'll have to do. :)
Merry Christmas, babe!

At the bottom of the basket is a small, silver package, containing a slim
digital camera. Attached is a spell that Lola hunted down to make the camera chargeable through magic instead of electricity, and another note.
I always thought people should take more pictures of each other, just in case something would happen. (Like, say, one gets caught in some vortex thing and disappears into another universe, which, you know, happens.) So this is a precation! Take lots of pictures! And Merry Christmas again!

A
Cheering Basket and a note.
You're living with a girl now, babe, so make sure you keep the place clean. This might make it easier! :P
Merry Christmas!

A five millilitre bottle of
Muse BPAL, carefully wrapped in gold paper, along with a copy of A Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration by Emeric Switch.
Merry Christmas, Brenda! Hope you have a wonderful day!
