The demise of the tent village represented the first time Henry and Camilla had ever been evicted from anyplace, and probably the only time they ever would be. Undignified, perhaps, but extremely gratifying, all things considered. Irritating though the timing had been (three in the morning, honestly, did no one ever do anything at a civilised hour) and precipitous though the elf-escorted exit had been, the pair were delighted by this development. Finally they could settle back into Gryffindor dorm, free of Richard's gloomy presence and of the weird legal limbo that had plagued Camilla. The wizarding lawyer they'd hired had sent periodic reports on his attempts to navigate the legality of the Sorting Hat's actions but no definite or final good news had been forthcoming.
The very first thing Henry did was to contact said lawyer, to check that the annulment was indeed valid and binding. He wanted to make damned sure this nightmare was over. The answer, when it came later that day -- as quick as the lawyer could manage it; they were paying him extremely well -- satisfied Henry immensely, and relieved Camilla no end.
Since the marriage between Camilla and Richard no longer held, Camilla need no longer fear that hideous enchanted wedding ring Richard had foisted on her, so the substitute Susan had lent her could now be safely returned. Profoundly and quietly happy, Henry and Camilla made their leisurely way to Susan's room in Ravenclaw, expecting to find her at home.
They did find her, though not quite as they'd envisioned her ...
