Sylar,
You know what I mean. You hurt anyone, it's not going to go well for you.
Look, man, I know what you're going through. I do. And if you want to talk or something, I can do that. We can, I don't know, get coffee or something. Just don't do something you'll regret.

Sylar,
Look, I'm sure that the whole 'I'm a creepy mo fo' vibe works with other people. But I'm not exactly Mr. All-American. So you can drop it now. I was killing things like you before my tenth birthday.
Also, 'Mr. Winchester' is my father. I'm Sam.
With your powers. Your abilities. I've seen people like you go down the whole death and destruction rode, and I'm telling you, it doesn't have to be like that. Facts checked, man.

Sam,
'Killing things like me', before your tenth birthday? Doesn't that, technically, mean 'killing things like you'? Last I checked, you had a few tricks up your own sleeves.
And I can, what, use powers for all things good and righteous? Can I be a hero, Sam? I believe I've been told that 'I don't get the luxury of regret', where does that fit in? Facts so not checked.

Sylar,
Yeah, but 'things like me' don't kill people. Except when they're not people anymore. Trust me, I've had my worst nightmares brought real close and personal. All this creepy Hannibal vibe isn't going to get to me.
Maybe you should just try for not a murderer first, then work your way up to hero. And everyone gets regrets. It just matters what you do with them. You can use what you have for good, yes. You just have to be willing to try.

Sam-
i'm still a PERSON what are you TALKING ab But you could. There's not much of a jump between something like you and something like me, don't act so self-righteous.
You act as though killing isn't a natural occurrence, as if lions don't slaughter for their food. As if praying mantids don't tear the heads off their mates, when they've achieved their goal. It's survival of the fittest.
Also makes for a difficult trick, killing in a place where people can't die.

Sylar,
Not you, someone el Of course I could. But that is the difference, that choice, and that gap is enormous. The difference between the man who indiscriminately murders because he feels he is above the law and the man who abides by the rules set out by mankind. That is the difference between a man and a monster, and the possibility for both lies within everyone. You get to make a choice. More than that, you have to make a choice. You have to decide if you will be the best of your potential or if you'll wallow in the muck and never rise above your baser desires.
Killing is natural. Murder is not. The difference, once again, lies in the choice. The lion can't choose not to take down the gazelle. You're not so fortunate. The presence of a soul, of reason, also means the presence of free will. Of choice

Sylar,
I do know. That's my point.
And listen, I have a feeling that we're going to meet up in the future, anyway. I just...would rather it not be with you at the other end of my shotgun, you know? You don't have to be that guy. Trust me.
It was Sam, wasn't it?
'Stay away from people'? A little unapproachable as an actual solution, considering the hundreds of students here, I should think.

I wouldn't suggest threats for a man in your position, Mr. Winchester. Greater people have tried. Greater people have also ended up riddled with holes
sure ...What, exactly, is it that I'm 'going through' again? Fact check. Then send the letter.

you have no idea, do you
...Right. Well, if I ever want to sign up for the 12-step program... I'll let you know.
Until then, stop owling me.

Of course you do.
So, what, you think a shotgun is going to help things? Going to... 'fix me'? And you said you had your facts straight.
-S

The shotgun is the permanent fix. I'm kind of hoping you can do it on your own, so I'm not forced to resort to that again.
Hey, believe me or not. But I know.

You should probably know that something like that isn't going to work on me. A gun? Come on.
I thought I said something about decidedly not owling me anymore. You people, you're all talk.

You'd be surprised. Trust me, you're the one who just doesn't know.
Hey, I said I'd meet you. That's an action. I also said I'd kick your ass, there's another.

When you've fallen from a two story building, gotten shot at countless times, stabbed straight through the middle with a sword? You know.
Like you could And I can know you're not just planning to pull said shotgun on me... how? The last thing I need right now is more surprise visits.

Been there. Done that. Killed them anyway.
Seriously. You? Have no idea. Because if I was going to hunt you, I wouldn't owl you out for coffee first. I don't do the whole Trojan Horse thing.
