Carrie posted signs all over the second floor landing. The basic sewing on all the costumes were ready; she just needed to alter them to fit the wearers

Costumes! Oh, that was probably the coolest thing about this play. Lola hurried to the classroom, hair streaming out behind her, and an eager grin on her face. Fun, fun!
"Hi!" she beamed at Carrie. Okay, maybe she should turn down the perky just a bit... "I'm Lola. Um, I'll be playing Hermia?" She looked around the classroom curiously, wondering what her costume would look like.
Lola looked absolutely delighted as she accepted the dress, holding it pressed against her chest and taking a few light dance-steps, letting the skirt billow. Ohh, shiny, shiny...
"This is gorgeous," she said solemnly and grinned. "Any chance I could keep it after the play's over?"
Because with a couple of cute accessories and the right hairdo, this dress had the potential of being totally luminous.
Cosmic! Lola looked extremely pleased. She looked over at the changing area and nodded.
"I'll be right back!"
She was nearly skipping on her way over there. So yeah, the costume was a definite plus. Maybe she should get more involved into this whole acting thing...
Lola changed quickly, trying to get a good look at herself. From the looks of it, the dress had to be taken in a bit at the waist, but otherwise it suited her like a glove on a hand. She came out to twirl in front of Carrie, having found an old scrunchie in the changing room to put up her hair with.
"What do you think?" she asked, striking a slightly exaggerated pose.
"Oh, that's amazing!" She couldn't resist clapping her hands at how well the dress suited Lola.
"Now, this bit here -" she pointed to the loose waist. "We can either take it in or put a belt on it. Me, I'm inclined to go with takin' it in, but what d'you think?"
"You're the expert!" said Lola and smiled. "I think yeah, a belt would make it look a bit odd... Definitely taking it in."
She spun around again, mind casually wandering on to how she should put her hair up for the play. "So are there shoes with this or am I supposed to pat around on stage barefoot?" was her following question, peering curiously at Carrie.
"Hang on, hold still a sec." She ran her wand down one side of the dress' bodice, then the other, muttering incantations, and the seams moved inward. "Better?"
"Not barefoot, but close," she said, and produced a pair of white ballet flats from a stack of boxes. "I figure heels'll make too much noise, an' these'll give you good traction on stage. If you gotta have heels we can make some adjustments. Plan is to transfigure 'em to the right color for each costume."
Lola nodded approvingly as the loose fabric moved in and fit more snugly around her waist. "Much. Thanks."
She smiled a little as she saw the shoes. "These are great. I sort of wanted to be a ballerina when I was a kid." Which generally was not something that happened if you were a poor kid from a Third World suburb. Not that it mattered now anyway... "This'll be totally luminous," was Lola's final opinion. "The shoes can be tied to that they look like sandals from a distance, yeah? I think dark brown would be good, then. Maybe a pearly grey..."

She pulled out a blue and silver dress. "Mind tryin' it on?"

"Changing area's right over there." She pointed to a corner turned into a cubicle with two wooden folding screens.
