Jack looks worryingly happy. He looks this way because he gets to meet someone else JD knows, and had been told bits and pieces about.

"Hey!" He's bright, cheery and polite for once offering a hand, not saying everything all at once like he could do.

"Hey, yourself." Carla smiled, that 'okay, I'll be polite, but obviously I'm a bit busy with a mental breakdown, here' kind of thing, and shook his hand. "Um, so, is this the meet-and-greet portion of the insanity?"

"Yeah." Jack nodded. "Trust me when I say it get's much wierder. On the grand scale of things here, this is boring, or it can be. Depends on who turns up. Enjoy the meeting people."

"All right." Carla looked doubtful, but if she really had lost her mind, she might as well go with it. Hey, maybe she'd finally get a vacation. "So, am I meeting you, now?" Smiling up at him, teasing, she added, "I'm Carla."

"Cap'n Jack Harkness." He grinned back and even saluted. "Jack's better though." After that Jack looked very slightly awkward, which was something to see. "JD's mentioned you."

"Nice to meet you, then, Jack." She'd been about to go on - probably asking him what he was Captain of (and if he said 'of your pants', she swore she was going to hit him), when her brain caught up to the rest of his statement.

"Bambi?" No way. No freaking way! "Bambi is here? Oh my God, really? Where is he?" She was grinning widely, looking excited. "I haven't seen him in forever! How is he? Is he okay? Why the hell hasn't he written or called or come home or anything? Oh, I am so going to kick his scrawny mutton ass when I see him."

"Right now, not sure." Jack looks little more relaxed then and picks up on the happy again. "He's fine, he get's kinda busy what with everything. Sometimes I swear he'd spend all his time helping out at hospital wing if I didn't stop him. He's going to be so happy when I tell him you're here!"

"Hospital Wing?" That sounded good. Better than a magic school or castle or wherever the hell she was. (As time was fluid and we're just going to assume that she's already been told this.) "And that sounds like Bambi, all right. He barely leaves the hospital. I swear, he's there almost as much as Dr. Cox, and if you knew him, you'd realize how crazy that makes JD."

"Yeah, crazy woman incharge is one Agnes Nutter, she's the one to speak to about helping, if you've not had enough of that." He smiled, then it faded. "I know Dr. Cox." Jack stopped himself rolling his eyes at his mention. "There are many times I've dragged JD from there, I've even helped out a couple of times myself just to be with him, though it's fun in the morning trying to pursuade JD he doesn't have to go quite so early."

Carla's eyes went wide, looking Jack, and then to the side as if to someone else for confirmation, and then back again. Then a huge grin split her face and she let out a 'Ha!', slapping her thigh. "I so knew it," she crowed. "Tom in Radiology owes me fifty bucks."

Jack looked all happy. He realised he shouldn't stand there talking all day and vote like he was meant to. "So since you're a friend of my JD's you get to pick which house I vote." He hoped someone had explained that to her.

"Hmm... Is there... Well, if Dr. Cox is here, and JD, then I guess I want to be with them? I mean," she smiled, "I'm kind of used to JD being my roommate now. But I suppose I don't really care."
