"Hi! What have you got there?" No reason to assume the bunny wasn't sentient. Once you'd met a sand bear who was in love with a human, you tended to assume more agency on the part of animals than you might otherwise.

He followed Yuuri into the common room and stood at the king's side while he approached the rabbit. That reminded Wolfram; he was hungry. But he didn't interrupt their conversation, he was just happy it wasn't some pretty girl or tall gentleman Yuuri was obsessed with, this time. Nothing could possibly be sexy about bunnies.
Wolfram would find Hugh Hefner very disturbing.
