Um, hi.
I figured that since you were the first Gryffindor I met here, I should tell you that I was Sorted into Gryffindor today. I'll be getting my cast off on time tomorrow morning, which will be awesome. Apparently, the Hat will be looking for a wrangler for my Tree Frog tuba because I cannot wrestle it myself at the moment. I promised to play it a piece and it agreed and said it was looking forward to my contribution.
I saw a notice up in the common room after I set my stuff up in my room about the Astronomy class coming up. I wondered if you wanted to be my chaperone, since I hypothesize that Camilla (being that she's the only other Gryffindor I know) will be going with someone else.
Or does House (*smothers chuckle*) affiliation not actually matter? In that case, who would you suggest?
Okay, seriously, I asked Dr. House and now I'm going to ask you: It doesn't bother you that your last name is...House...here? *tries not to smile*
Dr. House asked me whether I was able to mention my last name to five year olds without them giggling. Meh.
I think I have it easy compared to my stepfather. Arthur Flemingham Steenwilly. I used to think my grandparents hated him. I was disabused of that notion and now have no explanation beyond that of family tradition. I asked him about it once and he told me that he used to blush a lot when people heard his full name. Now he just laughs it off. *shrugs*
I should send him a letter and ask about this place. I honestly don't know if I want the answer, though...
