Pretty Solid Friend Material ((Open RP))

Hogwarts was great, as far as back-from-the-dead scenarios went. The classes were sparse but interesting, the food was good, and people were adequately prepared for the threat of evil-clowns. Hogwarts was so great, in fact, that it had taken Steph nearly two months to realize her social circle was pretty much composed of old(er!) male vigilantes. ( Read more... )

Lain, or to be accurate, Lain of the Wired, was bored and annoyed.
Human life was just too difficult to adjust to; you forget to eat and you feel sick. Forget to sleep and you feel sick. Forget to bathe and... Well you get the picture.

Right now socialising wasn't high on her priorities.
But, still, free biscuits.

Slinking up to the plate she grabbed a few and started to eat.

Hey! Someone who trusted that Steph wasn't going to turn her into a newt. Spiffy!

"Punch?"

It wasn't so much that Wired Lain was a trusting sort, its just she hadn't had any experience with cursed chocolate yet. Knowing Hogwarts and the muns, it was only a matter of time.

Still, with what little power she still had, she was quite confident in her immunity to it all.

Looking at Steph almost disdainfully, she swallowed what was in her mouth and nodded.

"Any reason for the food?" She asked, her voice bored.

Steph greeted Lain's disdain with a smile. She greeted all disdain with a smile, actually. It was her least Bat-like quality.

"Seemed like a good way to get to know people. I didn't know about the history of baked goods at Hogwarts, or I'd have opted for twister or something."

"History of baked goods?" Lain's interest perked. She'd never heard this one before.

She studied the girl before her; she was obviously athletic and... There was something else about her; she seemed resolved in how she acted.
This was annoying, being unable to simply understand people. She was forced to study and analyse them.

Lain’s gaze softened after a moment and she reached for the punch.
She grinned slightly.

"Apparently, junk food has a tendency to wreak havoc around here. So far, I've heard of gender-switching and age reduction. So be on the lookout!"

Ah-hah! A smile. "So what brings ya to Hogwarts?"

"Cursed food?" Lain questioned.
"It would seem some of the students here must be a bit stir-crazy" She began to giggle.

"Lain" She paused from giggling enough to give a very sly smile.
"She left me all alone out there." She gave a vague skyward gesture.
"She didn't even say goodbye."

What she said may've even gathered sympathy if it weren’t for the fact she was yet to stop giggling.

"Okay then. Don't really get the joke, but a positive outlook is always a good thing. Uh- just for my own peace of mind, you're not under some kind of toxin, are you? Laughing gas?" She hadn't seen the Joker apply, but you never knew.

Wired took a moment to calm down off the giggling but her smile was still there.

"Wouldn't effect me, I wouldn't think so. If it did I'd recover soon enough."

She paused, her smile looking more predatory then normal.

"And how about you? What's your reasoning to coming here?"
