Hogwarts was great, as far as back-from-the-dead scenarios went. The classes were sparse but interesting, the food was good, and people were adequately prepared for the threat of evil-clowns. Hogwarts was so great, in fact, that it had taken Steph nearly two months to realize her social circle was pretty much composed of old(er!) male vigilantes. ( Read more... )

Tyrion Lannister had a very special fondness for cookies, and so he was unable to keep from stopping to chat with the girl with the rather interesting sign.

"Well, that's one way of gaining influence," he remarked, reading the sign. "Do the cookies have anything... special... in them? Not that I'd mind if they did, I'd just like to be forewarned."

Tyrion grinned and took one, biting into it. "You're right. These are good. I should send some to my sister." He allowed a positively evil smirk to play across his face. Then he opted for a subject change. "I don't think we've met. I'm Tyrion Lannister." He offered her a slight bow.

"That's kind of you?" Steph didn't trust that smirk. She'd smirked that smirk! "I'm Steph," she said, pointing to the sign. "Nice to meet you."

"No, it's not particularly kind," Tyrion admitted. "But it will make her squirm." He had no idea how creepy his particular choice of words might sound, especially given that he was talking about his sister.

"Count yourself lucky. And things only get worse if the rest of your family is corrupt and power-mad." It did occur to Tyrion that he wasn't exactly a candidate for becoming the next High Septon (although the idea of him doing so was hillarious), but he chose not to acknowledge this fact.
