*Demyx stares. The kid looks almost like the Keybearer would if he didn't look like a porcupine.* I hear ya about the hi-potions. The things always seemed to turn up in odd corners of my room back home.

Joyeuse, huh? Nice name. *Demyx gestures to his sitar, which is actually slung over his shoulder on a strap rather than hidden in whatever null-space it normally occupies.* My weapon hasn't got one. Maybe it should.

"Thank you," he answered courteously. "I've never seen a weapon like yours, though. I'm not sure what one might call it."

Well, I guess it's only technically a weapon. It's a sitar. *He shifts the instrument so that it's in front of him and plucks out the opening bars of "Cheeseburger in Paradise." He pauses, and holds out a hand.* Sorry; I'm Demyx.

Larsa shook his hand in return. "Ah, so you are a bard? They're the only ones I know of who use instruments as weapons."

[soggynotecards]

Yeah, I guess you could say that. *The Nobody thinks he knows the answer to the next question by now, but asks anyway, just in case.* Have you ever been to Hawaii?

He shook his head. "I'm afraid I've never heard of such a place."

[soggynotecards]

*Demyx shrugs.* Didn't think so. Where're you from, then?

[joyeuse_sol]

"Archadia, I mentioned it earlier."

[soggynotecards]

Oh, right. Well, I guess we've established that neither of us knows where the other's from. So... emperor, huh?

Larsa nodded. "Indeed, I am."

I know this seems like an odd question, but... have strange-looking shadowy creatures with glowing eyes ever attacked your world?

"Er, no, not so far as I know. Ought I be worried?"

[soggynotecards]

I'd wait until there's a meteor shower to start worrying. That's usually how they show up.

"...They? What are they?"

Okay, I'll start from the beginning.

Everyone's got darkness in their heart, right? Except for seven people, but they're just a ... what did Vexen call it? A statical abnormality, or something. Anyway, when someone gives in completely to the darkness in their heart, they become something called a Heartless. Kind of a misnomer, since they're actually just a heart and nothing else. Anyway, the Heartless seek out hearts to add to their ranks - and not just people have hearts. Worlds have them, too. You can see where I'm going with this, I guess.
