Having still not quite recovered from what was quite possibly the most bizarre proposal ever, Devi had agreed to meet Nny and go flying. Nny was at least as nervous, although it manifested more as manic twitchyness punctuated by oddly serene smiles, growing more frequent as he approached her. "Hey. You, um. Can still change your mind if you want to, you know."

Devi looked at him a moment, nervous and awkward, and then figured 'fuck it' and launched herself at him, crushing him with a hug.

"Are you kidding?" she said, kissing him. "I mean, okay, yeah, I'm freaked out, but...it's happy freaked out, you know? It...holy shit, Nny, I can't believe it. I mean, I can, but...you know. It's like it hasn't totally sunk in yet." She smiled at him, a smile at once happy and twitchy. "Gogo's gonna be my bridesmaid."

"Happy is good," he said softly, giving her a tight hug. "It works on you, anyway. And, God, Gogo..." Laughing, Nny shook his head. "She'll love this."

"Happy is...amazing," she said, giving him an unabashed grin. "I mean...I mean..." She trailed off, unable to articulate just what she meant. "That was the best proposal EVER. Even if we did wind up making idiots of ourselves in front of the entire school." Devi gave his ribs a tight squeeze. "Gogo's going to take me dress shopping. God help me."
