semi-open RP: Chance and Lily
(( This was set up for Lily and Chance to meet at long last, but other chars can certainly happen upon Chance as she goes about her business. ))
As good as her word, Chance is determined to make a home for Ofelia, someplace she can stay as long as she's at Hogwarts. Chance's not what you'd call a good samaritan, most of the time. It's just that the girl triggers something in her -- all right, so maybe there's something to the 'maternal instinct' hokey after all. More, there's something ineffable about Ofelia, something dreamlike and sage, that puts Chance strongly in mind of her own child, what little she got to know of that child -- the dreams, or visions, or hallucinations, that she had of that child while she was still pregnant, still en route to Providence and the place of her death.
Her room isn't set up for two people, let alone an adult and a child. So today she's scavenging. She needs to find clothes, and a child-sized bed that she can fit into the corner, and maybe books.
She's poking her nose into empty classrooms and uninhabited dorm rooms, rummaging through closets, opening desks. She could just have asked a house elf, but she wants to do this herself.
