I am very willing to do so.

In the ancient past, Vulcans were an extraordinarily violent race. After bringing themselves nearly to the point of extinction through their constant warfare, they embraced the philosophy of Surak and learned to live peacefully and logically. Today Vulcan is a world of science and peaceful exploration, where the exhibition of emotion is considered to be in bad taste.

Physically, Vulcans are a hardier race than humans for the most part. We are evolved to survive on a desert world with few resources, so can survive in circumstances where most humans could not.

Some other notable differences are a greater control over body functions such as healing, telepathic ability on skin contact, and a longer lifespan than humans. Vulcan males are only fertile once every seven years, which is, regrettably, why there are not more Vulcans.

I myself am half human, but upon reaching adulthood I chose to adopt a purely Vulcan lifestyle. It is not always easy to suppress my human half, particularly while living and working with so many emotional and irrational crewmates, but I trust that I have done so. Mostly.

It is difficult, but not impossible, for a human to embrace logic as Vulcans do. My own mother has followed the teaching of Surak for many years, and she still occasionally lapses into emotional behavior. We are taught to eschew logic from a very early age, and you would have your human upbringing to overcome. However, nothing is accomplished without effort. I would be pleased to assist you in any way I can. May I offer you a copy of Surak's Lectures? If you wish to understand Vulcan philosophy, you may prefer to study the source rather than hear it filtered through another's imperfect understanding.

The process is much the same, but applied to the biological parts of your nature...
