It was another of those times you didn't ask where Jack had acquired something from. This time it was a few arcade machines. Which had been suitably adapted to work in their new location and the best part was for free. It was just as he'd said, there was DDR two of them together, a rather worn but still none the less working original Pacman and

"PACMAN." JD said, awestruck, before he bounded across the common room, tripping over two chairs, a sofa, a table and a Cat (it could probably talk, so it wasn't as bad) and an oddly placed bucket, but he arrived in one piece, only a little bruised! "JACK." He said with a huge grin on his face, "PACMAN." he repeated, pointing to the arcade game.

Jack turned, he knew what was coming next as he shut his eyes but still pretty much could tell what had happened before JD was closer. "Yeah JD, but you can't play." He said in all seriousness as he lay out on 'his' sofa.

JD's face fell as he stared. "It's broken?" he asked, greviously wounded by how Pacman could betray him so.

"No." Jack made a face that said 'don't be silly' then tried not to laugh. "I say no, but." He sighed. "I'm just some guy so you don't have to listen to me."

JD grinned. "Hey, you're the Just some Guy, remember?" he said, laughing and sitting on the edge of the couch.

"And I'm nothing special." He tried to push JD off with his leg, then stopped. "Shouldn't I be holding you?" He held his arms open. "Come here."

"There are other things in the song you know." JD said, trying to look stern.

"Really? Anything I need to know?" Jack raised his eyebrows. "Or you just want to play pacman and not be with me." He sniffed pathetcially.

JD paused thoughtfully. "Can't I be with you, and still play Pacman?" he asked hopefully.

"Go play!" Jack pointed and pushed him slightly with his leg. "I'm being lazy."

JD kissed him quickly, before running to the machine and out of habit, slammed a quarter into the slot and sighed happily at the familiar noises that beamed out the arcade game. "Don't leave me again, Pacman." he said, hugging the machine.

Mark stopped to see what the noise was he had been hurrying back to his room but seeing the prefect laughing on the couch at some guy hugging the arcade game well, he recognised him from a while back, no harm in stopping by to say hello and might as well say hello to the guy on the couch.

"I think I just lost him to Pacman." Jack proped himself up slightly so he could watch JD and talk. "Don't think we've met, Cap'n Jack Harkness." Jack offered a hand. "Anything I can do for you?"

JD looked around, grinning, and spotted Mark. "Oh, hey! Mark, right?" he asked, beaming.

"Yeah." He looked relieved he was remembered then shook the offered hand briefly. "Nothing." Well he didn't want to admit to the fact he was avoiding certain people still. "Nice to meet you. Er, when did they turn up?"

"Sure?" Jack shrugged. "Not that long ago thankfully. Anyway Mark, how's other things? Give me someone to talk to while I'm left for Pacman." There was a smile as he spoke.
