There was no other way to say it, really; House was high, again. This time he'd decided to forgo the morphine in favor of just a few more than usual Vicodin, and it worked well enough. Still, he'd begun pacing to distract himself further. His room had gotten to be too small, so despite his loathing of doing so, he'd ventured outside into the hallways to pace there.
He'd just about had enough - goddamn house-elves and their stupid little rumors - but he was just about to the Library, and maybe there was distraction there, too. Also... Jilly, on the ground? Good lord, she was even crying. That in itself was more than enough to drive him away, if his medical mind didn't instantly pick up something wrong in the way she was lying.
House stood over her with a scowl and nudged her knee with the tip of his cane. "What's wrong with you?" He asked gruffly.
Narrowing his eyes a bit, House noticed that she hadn't reacted in any way (other than verbally) to the touch on her knee. Interesting. With a bit of a smirk, he leaned heavily on his cane and made no move to help her get up. "Again? Care to explain that for the less uninformed audience?"
((With the right journal now.)) "I was hit by a car," Jilly said dully. "Hit and run. I was just starting to recover when I came here.... And for some reason I was completely mobile until... just now." She was too distraught to snipe at him, but she did hope he would eventually go away so she could start screaming, which sounded like an excellent idea just now. (

"I... I can't move," she said, realizing that he'd poked her in the knee that was numb. "I'm... broken again."
