1. What is your favorite cheese? Why is it your favorite?
Ramen. Wait, what was the question again? Favorite cheese? Any kind that reminds me of ramen, I suppose.

2. Who would you kill first, Barney or Carrottop?Simple. I'd kill them both using the clones of my Kage Bunshin no Jutsu! It'd totally awesome and I'd ( Read more... )

...I'll give you all the ramen you like if you teach me those moves. Especially the duplication one!

And vote you into Gryffindor, obviously.

*grins at Naruto*

I'm Otogi Ryuuji, you?

Uzumaki Naruto, the ninja who will become Hokage of the Village Hidden in the Leaves! *strikes some kind of awesome-esque pose to emphasize his determination*

Hmmmm... I've never taught Kage Bunshin to anyone before... but the idea of an all you can eat ramen spree on your treat sounds like a good enough motivation to me!

*admires Otogi's attire from a view* You've even got the Ninja look down packed!

*performs a flourished bow*

Thank you! And I'm decent at fighting, thanks to sparring with Nightwing, and already can do a form of Shadow Magic - except it's from Egypt, so I don't know if it would help with Kage no Bushin.

*easy smile*

So, what type of ramen do you want? And do we start the lessons here and now or later?

Ichiraku Ramen-style ramen works for me! But then again, I also eat Cup Ramen... though I like that kind the least because I have to wait to wait the whole two or so minutes for the ramen to cook, and then I'm so anxious to eat the stuff I totally down it and burn my tongue!

*cough* Anything but instant Cup Ramen works.

As for the "Shadow Magic"... I suppose it could help you, considering Kage Bunshin are sort of "Shadow Clones"...

We should start your training right here, right now! You're not going to learn anything if you push it off for tomorrow!

Okay, awesome. *grins* I'll make you some once you're sorted as a celebration meal and to help us recover from training!

*nods, shifts stance into a more stable one, has his hands loosely at his side* Right. What do I do now? I've screened the area off so that nobody can see us.

Hmmm... I guess I should start you off with the basic concept of Catra... I mean Chakra! *sweats a little* In order to get Kage Bunshin to work, you have to have Chakra, the energy that makes Jutsus do their stuff. Everyone has Chakra inside, so don't worry about acquiring it or something ( ... )

*listens carefully, mimics hand movements without saying the words just to get the feel of it - the energy thing sounds simple enough, since he can see his own flow of energy with Shadow Sight, but he's not sure if that counts as Chakra energy or if it's more like Chi energy*

...Right. Okay.

*practices hand movements again*

Here goes!

*does hand movements as fast as he can* Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!

*sits, waits, and watches with extreme interest*

(OOC: I suppose that since it's your Chakra, you should say what the results yield of this first Kage Bunshin. Or something like that. Or you could suggest something I do to progress this more :D)

((XD I thought you might want to take it since you're the teacher but okay, I'll come up with an amusing failure. Genius or not, no way he'd get it right first time around.))

...

*has lost his shadow but has a silhouette-like thing standing next to him, a Ryuuji made of grey-blue patterns with black detailing, perfect right down to the earring - just not solid, and looking like what it's made from*

Okay. Where'd I go wrong?

Hmmmmm... *stares intensely at the Ryuuji-clone and pokes it. Naturally, his finger does not bump into anything and goes through*

I guess I forgot to tell you about imagining the copy of yourself becoming physical. Just think of the hand signs that you're making, how your hands are touching and the physical feel of them. That should give you an idea and sense of molding your Chakra into a solid copy.

But don't be discouraged! That was a great first try! No one would have been able to tell it was an incomplete Kage Bunshin unless they touched it.

Anyway, with all of that in mind, try again!

...And the fact that the colors were off? I'm not purplely-grey like that was.

*stops focusing and lets it disappear, his own shadow whooshing back, asks thoughtfully*

Are you supposed to have your shadow disappear when you make the clone, or is your clonse supposed to have a shadow of its own as well?

You should be more aware of your own coloring, what you look like, and other such things like that. Like I said, it just takes a whole lot of concentration and self awareness to do this correctly! Not only do you have to get the details right, which you did, you also have to remember what colors are on you. A discolored clone will cause immediate attention to the fact that your copy is indeed... well, a copy ( ... )

Or just proof that my own type of magic is throwing me off. *wry grin*

But okay. Right, looks like my vanity will actually come in useful for remembering what I look like! Thanks for being patient with me.

*focuses on not drawing on Shadow Magic, trying to locate pure energy within himself that's untainted, then repeats the exercise from last time*

Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!

*now has multiple shadow clones of himself, but they're still shadowy blue-grey from before and only offer mild resistance to the touch*

...Don't tell me that I need to be more vain.

*offers up a classic Naruto blank look(tm) to Ryuuji and his pack of shadow clones*

... what was that you said about "Shadow Magic"? Because I think I've told you everything I know about Kage Bunshin, and your copies still look like they are more shadow than copy!

Though you did improve on their physical structure, which is a plus! The copies should feel physical when you hit them and when they hit your opponent back. However... they're only good for one strong hit. Then they burst into a puff of smoke and disappear.

Shadow Magic is this type of magic that relies on opening up another Realm, then manipulating the Shadows around you to use as weapons and drain other people of energy, which I guess you call Chakra.

*lets the shadow clones disappear*

Right. I'll focus on making them more solid? Because if I do that, then add a glamor to myself to make me look like them, then it's the same end effect, right?

Re: ::screened for Hyper Foxie and Curious Dragon:: ninjaoftheramen February 8 2006, 01:44:01 UTC
Right! Chakra is basically the energy that makes Jutsus work. Using your Shadow Magic to gather more Chakra for yourself will help you greatly when you finally master the Kage Bunshin.

And yes, focus on the solid, physical traits first! Your copies won't be able to do what you want from them if they aren't solid, and no one will be fooled by figuring out the copies from yourself if you're the only solid thing around, you know?

Adding the flair to yourself afterwards will help as well and it will result in the same end effect. I guess it really doesn't matter, just as long as you look the same as you or you look like them!
