*A small spaceship that appears to be made out of cardboard flies into the room. It lands upright on a chair, and the front opens to allow what appears to be a foot-high astronaut out.* I told them I could get that hovercraft motor to work.

Buzz Lightyear to Star Command, come in Star Command... )
...are all little person-statues alive when nobody's lookin'? Or is it just toys?

As far as I know, it's only toys that come to life. And not necessarily always the ones that look like people - a good friend of mine is a remote-controlled car. Of course, they may not come to life everywhere, but it seems to work everywhere I've been.

Have you ever known a toy come t'life that wasn't a nice toy?

Well, that depends... If you've got an action figure of a hero, like I am, there's probably an action figure of a villain, too, right? They're not bad toys, as such, it's just that... Some toys don't really know they're toys. I didn't, at first. So, for instance, an action figure of, say, Emperor Zurg, thinks he's the real Zurg, so his impulse is to try to destroy Buzz Lightyear and take over the galaxy. Until the toy is actually owned and played with by a child, they never have the chance to learn otherwise.
