What's up folks

Hey everyone. Since my last update wasn't much of an update, I'll give you the scoop on what's been up in the life of JD lately.

I got into Huntsville on Wednesday at about 2 pm and chilled for awhile. That night I went over to my friend Mark's place and we drank and drank and drank. My friend Jeff and I wrestled in just our underwear outside. Let me also say that it was like 25 degrees outside. So it wasn't the brightest idea ever, but it was tons of fun, and it makes for a great story. Jeff beat me, though. That was a little disappointing, but it was a very close match. That was a fun night.

I found out my grades from the past semester, and I made B's in Economics, Spanish, and English, with A's in Symphonic and Marching Band, which gives me a 3.17 GPA for the semester. Not great, but better than last fall (and last spring, for that matter). I'm overall pleased. Going into finals, my grades were all borderline. In Economics and English, it was between a B and a C, and I got the higher of the two. In Spanish, if I had made a 100, I might have pulled out an A, but I made an 85 and got an 87 for the semester. The best I could have asked for was a 3.5 and the worst I could have made was a 2.67. I'm pleased.

I hate winter, but I realized something tonight that I like about winter. When it's like 25 degrees outside and there's no clouds, the sky is really clear on a cold night, and the moon and stars are so much brighter. It was really pretty driving around tonight. I'd stop and just stare if it weren't so damn cold!

I've almost got my Christmas shopping finished. I bought cards for everyone I'm getting a card for, and I have my presents for Dad and Adam, and I have to make my present for Mom, although I know what I'm getting her. I'm having a difficult time figuring out what to get Stephanie, though. I've figured out like tons of gag gifts and stuff, and I got her a card, but I can't figure out my actual gift. Sigh.

I leave for Memphis on Saturday (yes, on Christmas day). I'll be there for two nights and come home on Monday the 27th. I go back to Auburn for the bowl trip on Thursday the 30th, and then Friday the 31st is time to party! Then the next morning is New Orleans! I can't wait. That will be one awesome trip.

This is a long entry. I hope you enjoyed it. Until next time.

John Daniel Hogan I, esq.
