You have my condolences. Of course I was rooting for the Cubs, but I understand that the Cardinals were pretty beat up. Things might have been different if they had been healthy.
I can remember the first time the Jays won, on Oct. 24, 1992 (a Sat.). Judith & I were in the OVFF hotel. I went up to our room to catch the last few innings. And the result - WOW.
I watched at home in 1993 (Oct. 21 - a Thursday) when Joe Carter hit a 3 run homer, in the 9th.
I have been to only one Blue Jays game. I took Mike Whitaker to the opening in 2010 (the Monday after he was inducted in to the Filk Hall of Fame)
During 1997-9, I was in Montreal, for work and went to a few Expos games.
Last night's game - was unbelievable.
Thank you to those who say they support "our" (Canada's) Jays.
We took in a game shortly after I famously proposed to the_sheryl from a point about a thousand feet above Rogers Center. Though I think she may have spent more time staring at her hand than watching the game. And giggling every few minutes.

I will be less ambivalent about the Cubs in another couple of days. :)
