Neighbour to Neighbour: Feeding Bodies and Minds

I am a regular volunteer at Neighbour 2 Neighbour, a Hamilton food-bank. You can visit their web-site here: http://www.n2ncentre.com/. For last year’s FKO, I asked (very close to the con) for food donations. I want to thank those who brought me items. I want to expand from last year, what I think you can help me with. If you are coming to FilKONtario this year I want you to know that N2N also has a used book store, and distributes some books free to both kids and adults. So we're looking for either non-perishable food or used, even damaged books, especially books intended for children or youth. Should they happen to be SF&F books, that is, even better. Convert them when they're young!
BTW - the FilKONtario ConCom has my support of this project.
Oh, if you are on a ConCom for any filk or even non-filk convention, I would love it if you can pass on my idea. I, of course, would love to hear about this.
