unemployment sucks

Yesterday was six weeks of no job; and due to a snafu (and I really mean fu) on my part, I can't get unemployment. Actually I do some busy work for a consultant, but the pay is slow comming since I have to finish the job, then invoice him, then he invoices the client, then they pay him and he pays me. We have enough money to last the month - and then it's desperation time. I'm pretty sure I've got a job lined up in a couple of weeks - but it's dependant on the project getting funded, so until then its up in the air. I have a couple of apps with the city but nothing yet...I might give teaching a try, they recently opened up a new campus and have more classes than instructors. I went ahead and ordered my transcripts to see if I can negotiate an adjunct job for next semester. It would probably pay better than substituting though (but that is too far from now to do any good in the short-term.) So I spend my time with careerbuilder and monster, etc. Wish me luck!
