oh snow.
It's April 17th and we had a blizzard today. LAWLOMG I love this damn state. Even better? It's supposed to be like 75 by Wednesday. Awesome, I know.
D.C. was a good time. The ol' alma mater won the Frozen Four which actually made me be a hockey fan again for the first time probably since like sophomore year of college. That, and SG and I were totally ballin' in our hotel that is actually listed in the Frommer's guide to D.C. as the "Best Historic Hotel," "Best Washington Insider Hotel" and a "Best Splurge Hotel" ... not to mention listed on the "Staying Green in D.C." list (we were actually on one of the crazy green floors ... and i was good and kept our sheets on the bed and not laundered while we were there. what what.). This also means I, for the most part, felt ridiculously out of place at said hotel. But, I am eternally grateful to my dad and his 28394723947 reward points (that he drained half of) used to get us such awesome accommodations.
The sickness I had beforehand (something that would be tmi, mysterious rash of doom) ended and, in the case of the MRoD, mostly disappeared during D.C., but I was wiped out the monday after we got back. Seriously just spent the whole day in bed. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, mind you, but yeah.
Trying to get back into the groove of working out, but it's hard. Regardless, my first race of the season is going to be next Sunday whether SG and I walk half of it or not, goddamnit.
