*sigh*
This weekend was... surreal, I guess is the best term I can think of. There are few things more unusual than trying to give a married friend sexual advice. *facepalm*
Anyway, lots to do this week, and hopefully the oddness that was the weekend isnt going to carry over significantly. I'll be working hardcore hours every day between now and friday, so chances are I wont have much time for outside nonsense anyway. Hockey wednesday night is just pickup, so we'll see who even shows for that. May or may not go out with the guys afterward, depending on who's actually there. Jezi's joining the Fury and should be there for registration- I think she'll fit in pretty well and I'm sure she's going to be glad to get back on the ice. She missed most of the season with the Sirens because of work/life/money issues, so I'm glad things seem to be settling down for her. She's actually the Siren I've known the longest (though I'm using the term "known" somewhat loosely) considering we went to middle school together. :)
Jon's 21st birthday is friday and I'm in an absolute scramble trying to figure out what to get him. He (and maybe my cousin Steven) are driving down from Panama City for the weekend and he's bringing his new kitten Anberlin. I've seen pics and she's the cutest little ball of fuzz! I hope Bayda doesnt try to eat her. :P
Slept in my contacts for the first full night. The ones I've got are designed to be wearable for up to 6 days straight, but I've never tried going a full 24hrs in them before. I usually only wear them for hockey and occasionally for going out, but I generally pull them out before bed. I've been wary of keeping them in more than a few hours at a time because I've got a moderately bad dry-eye problem and I'm afraid my poor little eyeballs will get annoyed if subjected to extensive coverage time. But hey, so far so good. I've had them in for almost a full 24 now, and though they were a touch dry this morning they feel just fine now. I may try and wear them more often- I got a comment from a good friend recently that I look really good without my glasses (which according to him make me look 14- of course, I tend to think I look well under 23 either way) and I trust his judgement. We'll see!
