A few observations on Atlantic City:
1. Everyone there appears to fall into at least one of three categories: Old Person, Family or Slut. Really, pretty much everyone was one or more of these. Believe you me - the Old Person Sluts were not a pretty sight.
2. There is SO MUCH SMOKING! I guess we are just spoiled, living in a smoke-free state, but ugh, it was nasty, nasty, nasty. New Jersey restaurants are actually smoke free, and they are working on bars and casinos, but no real head-way yet. So every day, we came home stinking of cigarette, cigar and pipe smoke. So gross.
3. Apparently, one million seagulls live in Atlantic City. There were so many, it was crazy. I was constantly afraid of being pooped on (although my brother did remind us that it is supposedly good luck to be pooped on by a bird).
4. The high rollers like to mingle with the commoners. More than once, I was sitting with someone at a $10 blackjack table, and the person was betting several hundred dollars or even thousands on each hand. My brother also saw a World Poker Tour winner sitting at a regular table at the Borgata.
