Ok, so I made it home safe and sound!!!! I did so much stuff in D.C. it was amazing. I miss it, I was sad to come home, that's how much I loved it there. I went to the Holocaust Museum, International Spy Museum, Discovery Channel Science Museum (Baltimore), Smithsonian Natural History Musuem, National Archives (where the constitution, bill of rights, and decleration of independence are held). I think that's all for museums, oh and the Old Post office. Saw the White House, Capital, Pentagon, all the war monuments, all the presidential monuments, Mt. Vernon (g. Washington's home) George Washington Masonic Temple, and Alexandria (G. Washington's hometown). I went to Baltimore, Maryland and went to a museum, walked the Harbor, saw where the Orioles and Ravens play, and ate @ Hard Rock Cafe. I went to a Korean Market, and China Town, and saw an open heart surgery @ my Aunt's hospital. I got to see a double aortic valve replacement on an overweight woman. I also went to Arlington Nat'l Cemetary and saw JFK and RFK's graves, the tomb of the unknown soldier and the changing of the gaurd, Gen. Robert E. Lee's house, and I also got to see Army men planting flags in front of all the graves there. That was a 2 day job w/ hundreds of men because there are 100's of thousands of graves there. I probably forgot some stuff I did, but it was amazing there. I know I'll be back out there next Spring Break to see the stuff I didn't get to this time. Oh and my Aunt calls me a "veteran subway rider" and feels comfortable letting me ride it by myself. The one thing that sucked were the huge tour groups, but that was to be expected, but yes i loved it. I could see myself living there.
