well im either a complete idiot or a really loyal friend/team mate...i have no idea which one though.
well the guy from auburn called again a few days ago. he said he lost my cell number but got my house number from the coaches at MC or something. that was the first time i had heard from him in over a week, so i figured they had lost interest or just didnt need another safety. so anyway he calls and wants me to go back to the park, do a camera interview and run some drills and stuff to show the coaches at auburn. well about halfway through the interview thing, i got this wierd feeling and told him that i was just gonna go back to MC next year. so i got the tape and left. he was kinda upset about it, but said he respected my decision and i was the only person he had ever talked to that passed up a full scholarship. that made me feel like crap, but after thinking about it i thought i made the right decision because all my coaches and team mates expect me there, and i didnt think it would be right to just leave cause something better came along after all our workouts and everything. also, i still wasnt 100% sure the guy was legit.
then the crazy part. turns out when my dad found out he called back, he got a friend of his to check this guy out. i didnt know about this till 2 days later when i was feeling good about my decision. well he told me what his friend said and he really was a recruiter for auburn. hes not on payroll or anything, but he is "eyes and ears" for coach tubbs, which is pretty much an unpaid recruiter. so basically i just threw away possibly the best oppertunity of my life, to play where i have always wanted to play, to go back to a school i didnt even like last year. maybe itll be the best though, i hope so.
quick poll: would you consider this decision either:
A)the stupidest thing any human being has ever done
B)not a good decision, but maybe it wont be so bad
or C)a good move to go with my feeling and stay loyal to all the MC coacher and players
crazy...
