It's weird how it's always the little things that bring us closer to God. We go to huge events like Youth Convention and Creation Fest and we say, "God's gonna do something amazing. I feel so holy right now 'cuz I'm going to a huge Christian event and I'm better than you because I'm going and you're not." Abrupt? I'd say so. But believe it or not there are Christians out there who actually say that. They, for whatever reason, think they are better than the rest 'cause of what they do. But what's the truth?
I believe it's the little things in life that truly bring us closer to God. Not just the little things tho, but the little things that make us want to say, "Oh, Shit!" Instead of "Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!" It's not the huge Christian events that bring you closer to God, the fire that's started at those kind of events last a couple weeks. But the experiences we go through in life, the trials we face, the tests we go through truly bring us closer to God without us even knowing it. So next time you feel like yelling and swearing at somebody or something, stop for a second and think about why you're doing it and is it really worth it?
