(no subject)
hhmm...well it's 4 in the afternoon and I'm at the library a bit buzzed, had some beers after class to celebrate the last day of classes. My buddy Tom is graduating this year and I'm sad becuse people always say they will keep in touch but I hope it actually pans out this time. I don't even know him that well, but he is just one of those people you just click with and I don't want to lose him as a friend.
last night my buddy's dad came up for the night on business and we went out. So fun, we talked for hours about the 60's and whatnot, and were playing his old Jimmy Hendrix record, where during conversations he would stop right in the middle of what he was saying and listen to the guitar solos. He is not one of those dad's who looks all rock and roll but grew up during the 60's wears cosby sweaters and still knows how to have a good time. We hit up a few bars last night and got some poutine. Such a good time, I felt like I haven't been out in a while, so it was rather refreshing.
I 'm so embararssed with myself, I've been living here for 3 years and always complaining there were no used books stores close by...but finlly for the first time I realized I live right by an incredible used books store...douche chill (best saying ever from Arreested Development) I can't believe I lived 2 min from this amazing store and never knew..i would walk by and see cooking books in the window and thought nothing ofit...I'm an idiot. But I bought a Sylvia Plath book of short stories/prose and another book by a Brazilian writer, something with a title of a girl and a photograph...thankfully not the girl in the box..
