Operation: Lapushka
I guess the proverbial cat is out of the bag and I can go ahead and write about this in here. My wife, Kim and I are starting the process for adoption of a baby from Russia.
Long story short in bullet points:
.we've be trying to have a baby of our own for a good long while
.realized that conception didn't seem to be happenin'
.got checked out by doctors
.informed that it wasn't going to happen without some serious scientific investment
.decided to look into adoption
.international adoption is better than domestic adoption
.Russia looks to be the best option for us
We have an appointment next week with an agency consultant to really get the ball rolling. It could be anywhere from 7-18 months before we get baby in hand. We get to travel to Russia -- twice.
