"Remember, Remember the 5th of..."
...OCTOBER!?!
Yeah, just wanted to pass along that there's gonna be a "World Can't Wait: Drive Out the Bush Regime" rally/protest/general strike at Wayne State, Thursday the 5th starting in Gullen mall at 12:30. The March will go throughout Detroit, and end in Campus Martius at 4:30.

The implications of this recent legislation passed by the House and Senate reforming treatment of detainees are just too mind-boggling. Aside from the expanded and ambiguous definitions of "enemy combatants" and those who "give aid" to such peoples, besides the the removal of habeus corpus and any semblance of due process to prisoners detained in this War on Terror (War OF Terror), I learned last night that language in the bill would exhonerate any military personnel (including up to the president) from proceedings pertaining to war crimes resulting from any breach of the Geneva Conventions and other international law as a result of this legislation. INSIDIOUS.
In the meantime, go Watch "V for Vendetta" and indulge in some theatre of the mind.
