"Yeah, I'll pour somethin' on ya. How 'bout some GAS-O-LEEN, MUH-FUGGA. Set yo' ass on FIRE."
- an exchange betwixt mah baby and myself.
AHHH, the daily threats from my baby. Had me rolling with that one.
So it's been about an age-and-a-day since I updated this mutha-fudjah, And to fill in the in between would take a book, so I'll just stick to current events. AHEM.
Halloween was absolutely awesome. Couldn't believe the weather. Jus' perfect for Vy's first excursion into trick-or-treating. We went just two blocks, and then got home to pass out candy. It was cool to be on that side of things, and it made the house feel more like OURS (even tho' it's been that for six months). I felt pretty lame since the only decorations we had was a single Jack-O'-Lantern carved from a pumpkin grown from our garden. Ohhhhhh, Do I have PLANS for next year. Tell Montenegro. Oh YEAH.
My baby and I just celebrated our third year anniversary since our first date on the fifth (celebrations will actually take place this thursday at Luna, which also happens to be Ryan-O'-Doom's birthday as well, and hopefully we'll catch the J.O.D. and R.O.D. there for much drinky-dancey). Three awesome and crazy years, with so much to celebrate and look forward to. Good times for sure.
Attended the funeral for our Great-Uncle Don. It was quite a long time since any of us had seen him, and the news came out of the blue. Dadeus was at the hospital with him, and the decision kind of fell on him to decide whether he should be taken off life-support, which he felt he couldn't do, so he got a hold of his cousin (Don's daughter) to see if she could make it out to the hospital. She told my Dad not to leave him alone until she got there, and he laid his medicine bag next to him, and waited. When his cousin finally arrived, she took two steps in the room, and Don's blood pressure dropped, and by the time she stood next to his bed, he had passed on. Right after my Dad called all of us to tell us what had happened, an event he ascribed to some very powerful medicine. He sounded so awed and so much like a kid through his tears, it made me cry. Thought I would share as he did.
Found out I can finally graduate in May, which is hella awesome. Chemistry has thrown a monkey into the wrench, however. It requires such a different mindset when it comes to studying, which I'm no good at in the first place. My last test: a 39. A new low for my college career. And it's short-bus chemistry at that. So that bitch is DROPPED. I'mma try again next semester. AND I'D BETTA GET IT RIGHT THIS TIME, 'cos I'll be damned if I'm gonna stay on board another got-dammed semester. I need to move on to bigger plans, and maybe some graduate school. Or maybe a challenge.
So that's all I gots fer now, as Violet is running out of things to play with.
Slag OFF!
