Longest entry I've posted...EVER.

I use to idolize Jesse Michaels from Operation Ivy/Common Rider and Geoff Rickely from Thursday. I still believe that they have great minds...BUT I bumped into something wwwwaaaaaaaaaayyy more complex. Nathan showed me many amazing things. None more amazing than showing Tool ( Read more... )

Yes, you are trying to nitpick. You're actually trying to do more than nitpick. You're picking an uncalled for fight probably because you're bored or pissed. I'm not saying "DO DRUGS WRITE MUSIC! IT MAKES MUSIC WAY BETTER BECAUSE YOU CAN SEE BEYOND THE SOBER MIND!" Fuck no...fuck you. Actually, Maynard recovered from a herion addiction a few years ago. Go re-read my entry and point out where I say that it's awesome to do acid and LSD.

The things that Tool are singing about has been around for centuries. So has every other fucking idea on Earth. Are you going to tell me that Less Than Jake's songs are pure fucking untouched genius ideas that no other band has come up with? Of course not.

You know what, it's not just the ideas...it's how it's said. It's throught provoking for someone who refuses to take another look back into reality and see all that pile of shit that I decided to leave behind. I admit to being afraid of what's out there. I ran away from trying to figure out why we're here and the purpose of being here. I'm open-minded when it comes to someone else's ideas of how to interpret life. I'm interested in what other people think about life and how to be positive about it. Tool is mostly positive about the things they say. They are actually pro-humanity.

Why is that guy's interpretation horrible? So what if he's vague...THAT WAS HIS ENTIRE POST. Our President doesn't make any sense either. I don't make sense 80% of the time. The message board that I retreived that from is breif ideas of what Maynard is trying to talk about. Not fucking essays. Maynard's lyrics in of itself are fucking vague. Leaving so much more room to interpret someone else's analyzations is the purpose. The purpose of everything that Tool has ever said is to think for yourself and branch off to new ideas that can lead us towards new realizations we didn't think existed.

"There are people infinitely more brilliant than Tool." Duh. I'm not saying Tool is God. What I really don't understand is when I posted about Jesse Michaels being a genius man, I never got a comment like this from you before. Do you just want to start a fight and try to shove your fist up my ass?

This post is soley what I have felt for the past few months. It's what I think when I listen to Tool. I'm not trying to tell everyone, "TOOL IS GOD! JOIN THEIR ARMY AND FIGHT OFF EVERYONE!"

If you even really read my post, I don't agree with their drug-induced state-of-mind all that much, and I don't like their Jesus bashings. If you at all listen to Tool, other than knowing that "Aenema" is the most played out Tool song, you'd know that ALL OF TOOL'S MATERIAL is vaguely about drugs and being anit-Christ. They have their reasons also.

What I think is intellectual is important to ME. Someone that has no idea wtf is calc. meeting someone that knows it like the back of their fucking hand may think they're genius. Don't tell me what you think is genius or not. Don't try to imply to me that you think Tool are not smart guys. Because I, MEEEEE, believe so. Don't try to belittle me because, yes, you are very much smarter than me, so you're gonna try to raise the level of intellectual shit you know about.

What I know makes me knowledgable of not too much here on Earth. What you know is a broad range. If you want to donate your fucking genius ideas into my brain, go ahead. Then tell me what's cutting edge.

Do you still think I am 14? Because I KNOW there are other very smart people out there in the world. Never in my post did I say, "Tool are the smartest people on Earth". Don't be angry at a band that is trying to make the people listening to it think. Their lyrics, their source, is to help those that aren't knowledgable about the theories that they include in their music alive to us. That's why a lot of the people on the message boards I go on to are doing a lot of research. It's better than sitting on the computer not gaining anything at all.

Basically you are trying to tell me that I'm like a lot of people that think certain bands are God because I fall so easily in love even though it has taken me months to post an entry about Tool. I'm pretty sure if I was about ready to get a wedding band for every single of the band members you can flip...but I'm not. You criticized something, therefore I criticize what you're throwing at me. Except I put up walls that strech out to China, so anything that touches what I like has been making me uneasy.

I admit, yeah, I flipped out. I'm flipping out because I don't have real conversations anymore and my wall is right up there with heaven, and no one has dared crossed it. You're the first person to challenge any fucking measlely thinking I have done in months. Kudos.

I'm not your typical bitch. I say my sorry's. I apologize for being a crazed bitch. After going to work and collecting whatever sanity I have left in me people watch, it was wrong of me to do that.

If you want to continue internet fucking eachother, fuck you too.

Thanks.

Meh, it's my fault. We all are having bad vibes with a lot of things it seems like. I think it almost helped us get rid of a lot of things trapped inside.
