Well... CRAP!!
Got some aggravating news this weekend. As many of you know, A & I are renting a house. It's a REALLY cool house... a yard for the mutts, a big basement man-cave, a two-car garage, etc. We're really happy living there, and were all set to re-up for another year.
Unfortunately, we found out on Friday (while I'm in Chicago, no less) that the owners have decided to sell the place, and that our lease will be up at the end of July. We can buy the place if we want, but otherwise we'll have to move in a month and a half.
GRRRRRR...
We'll be discussing the options when I get back to Seattle. Buying will be difficult. Although the asking price is actually a pretty good deal for the amount of house we'd be getting, it's still a helluvalot of money... more than I ever imagined spending on a house. The down payment in particular could be a problem.
If we don't buy, we need to find another place (and move) before August. I hate moving. I really hate moving when I know that we're unlikely to find a place as cool as this one. Still, my current preference is to find a somewhat comparable place, pack up, and move. I'm pretty sure that A wants to try to move some mountains so we can buy this place. It's going to be an interesting week.
