hmm... good question. I deliberately kept all the Potter children well away from this story-- no doubt they're off busy having their own adventures elsewhere. David is friends with Al, but they're in different houses, so they don't have much time together during the school year. Rose is different-- I see her taking Davey under her wing, just like her mother probably did-- someone who's bemusedly delighted to receive the benefit of her wisdom and knowledge. And then, well, hormones will be hormones.

I think Snape won't find that out until the holiday, when everybody's all around and Snape reveals himself to the immediate family at least. I can see Harry not going out of his way to mention it-- partly from modesty, and partly so he can enjoy the shock when Snape finds out. The whole name thing in DH is really an awkward way for Harry to show he respects Snape-- but this story makes that clear more explicitly because Snape's right there for Harry to interact with.

There's something I kind of left hanging in this fic-- the relationship with Albus. Snape doesn't join the portrait in his own headmaster's frame, and mostly that's because neither I nor he have forgiven him for his manipulations. That could go in a future fic too, centering around the name and its being revealed to Snape. I'll have to think more on this.

Thanks for the comment, and the question.
