Yay for work.  Yay for not sleeping through everything.  YAY for no more late nights on the set!  It's nearly done and i can go about my normal life outside of a few hours after classes.  Which pretty much means from one-ish on every day but wed. and fri.  Since set Design counts as work time, but i have Directing II meetings on wed and fri this week.  So yeah.  I think that I may have to drop Lart to be able to boost my GPA.  I don't know.  I think i'll go talk to my fin-aid advisor about that and then talk to Dr. Janutolo.  I don't really want to drop to less than full time, but if it'll get my GPA up, I will.  Frustrating.  I'm almost done with A Lesson Before Dying for my Lit class.  Only one more book after that.  Camus' The Stranger.  Joy of joys.  I just wonder why all the books have to be primarily Anglo-American in thought.  Not that Gaines is an Anglo writer, or even caucasian for that matter, but Why can't it be a more ethnically diverse class of books that truly explores different value systems instead of underlining the value of the White Male in Anglo American society?  Even the books primarily about women underscore the fact that women aren't thought as highly of as men.  Huck Finn and ALBD underscore that whites are oppressive.  WHERE are the books about strong women and minorities who  buck the trends of those in power but aren't punished for that by the dominant paradigm?  Obviously not in this class, more is the pity.  Oh well. guess i'll just have to take a course on women's history (oh wait, i'm doing that this summer . . . )
