Finally, after tearing up the bathroom and having it that way for 2 weeks, we finally get the last part we need and an apointment with the plumber. His plan is to tear out the old tub, to expose the pipes so he knows what to get for the new ones. We leave his to his work and got out to get new floor, plywood, greenboard and etc. We come back, tub is out and he's left. Then we look. The leak that was there was worse than we thought. We have to replace some of the floor and the floor joist is shot. There was a knot in the joist that as it rotted, made the joist shear. The good news is it is not a load bearing joist. The bad news it is beyond our tools and skills to replace. We needs must hire a professional. I made calls asking for bids, as well as calling the plumber to thank him and see what his options are on joist. He recommended one person. One guy came and gave a very reasonable bid to which my husband said "deal"
So hopefully by tuesday was are back on track in jacuzzi installment.
