The Ties that Bind
This is a post for the third regular episode of season 4, "The Ties that Bind".
This episode, on the other hand, I thought was totally awesome. I mean not as awesome as some episodes we have seen before or like, not awesome in a "one of my favorite episodes sense", but awesome in a "Oh yeah, I had forgotten how much I really do like this show" sense.
For one thing, they put almost all the really hot people on the Demetrius. This will be the setting of all a lot of the BSG fic I will ever want to read or write. I mean I get it about you guys with the Roslin/Adama but like, Starbuck and Anders are having rough sex on this ship and Gaeta and Seelix and Athena and Helo are also there and they're all sweating and tense. This is great.
And then also Callie and even though I didn't like her in the early seasons the stuff with the baby that keeps crying, I mean you just can't not feel for her and how much her life sucks now, and the scene where she's hiding in the wall trying to eavesdrop is so suspenseful and then what comes after I MEAN SHE HIT HIM WITH A WRENCH, and first of all I was not expecting that but then even after that I thought she would lock him up and just go tell Adama what was up BUT SHE WENT TO THE AIRLOCK AND SHE WAS GOING TO THROW HERSELF AND THE BABY OUT BECAUSE HE'S A BABY CYLON and she doesn't want to live! I wasn't expecting that at all! I wasn't expecting Tori to show up either! I had no idea what was going to happen! asldkj;sldjk!!! BSG!!!
ETA: OH AND ALSO ADAMA READING THE TRASHY DETECTIVE NOVEL TO LAURA while she was getting her cancer treatment! I was thinking that was in one of the previous episodes but it was near the beginning of this one! I loved that scene so much! I love that there was no other commentary or conversation about it, just their body language and the looks on their faces! Their love is so understated because based on deep understanding!!
