There were so many amazing things that left me breathless or gasping or squealing, especially in part 2 of Resurrection ( ... )

I love how they didn't make the dying woman all saintly.

I could not believe it in RS part 1 when she told Adama, "You're going to have to kill her," except that I totally could! Because none of them are saintly! She is not just some nice schoolteacher who doesn't want anyone to get hurt! She'll do what she has to do!

people are very difficult to completely like or dislike, just like in real life, including the cylons

Yes yes yes this is what I was thinking about so much in the few episodes, that none of the characters are just write or wrong or good or bad. Like even though I did not especially enjoy most of the scenes with Admiral Cain (did you realize she was Juliana Cox the ME from Homicide btw?), also I could see her point! And Sharon when she asks why they deserve to survive! I mean! They all have a point, you know? It's not like SGA or Star Trek or whatever where you know the writers want you to sympathize with one character and their point of view. It is nuanced and awesome!

This show!

Gosh, I know! I mean yeah, when Roslin told Adama that, I was sort of like omgwtf, but also, it made SENSE with her growing character. I mean, she is not wishy-washy and she has never shown herself to be wishy-washy. She is a great person, one that I trust (I remember a long time ago Gentlehobbit talking about characters you can TRUST and anyway, she is that to me) but not nicey-nice either like I think some of the military personnel are like whatever, a school teacher, she's going to be like "aww...let's all get along" (Cult of Nice, *snickers sekritly a moment*) but she's not. And she's tough. And Adama is SO IN LOVE WITH HER OMG!

And I KNEW she looked familiar but I couldn't put my finger on it! :)

In that scene leading up to the kiss, before she gives him the...wings or whatever, I love how sharp her voice sounds. I know part of that is that she's in pain but it made her voice sound more like this woman I know irl, a professor and mentor who is also really nice but really tough and I was like, "I know you! I trust you!" Also I really love the way she always smiles when she has to do or say something difficult. She is so great.

Also Billy loves her so much!

And I KNEW she looked familiar but I couldn't put my finger on it! :)

Something with me but I was afraid to look up her other roles so I made gentlehobbit do it for me omg. Thank you GH!!

Heeee! I'm always happy to look stuff up for you. Tread fearlessly among spoilers, I do. :)

I adore Roslin. She was my favourite character right from the start (back when I didn't like Adama very much!). By the way, she gave Adama the Admiral insignia -- the studs for his collar that denote rank.

I know exactly what you mean. I don't like Cain and the choices she made, but I sure do respect her and her unapologetic determination to not second guess, or flinch, or look back.

I gave a squeal and I think M thought I was nuts and I was all like OMG OTP FOREVER!!!! :))

*happy, happy grin*

Oh, how I wish I were watching it with you to watch your reactions, and Sophie's too! And I wish I had been there joining in the squee to make M even more puzzled and thinking that we were nuts.

:D
