• Background: The story of James and Elizabeth Abbott is the classic romance. The Abbotts were a poor wizarding family, however pureblood. They had a bad reputation amongst the more prestigious pureblood families. Elizabeth Garrison came from a very rich, Muggle family. They fell in love after they met by chance in downtown Edinburgh. Elizabeth knew he was poor but didn’t care.
After the death of Mr. and Mrs. Garrison, the Abbotts inherited their fortune. They moved into a large estate and manor in Glasgow, Scotland. Within months of moving into the house, Elizabeth was pregnant.

• History: On 7 November, Hannah Mary Abbott was born. Hannah was a boisterous baby who loved to play with other children. But with the birth of Hannah, Elizabeth’s hopes for social status were rekindled. Elizabeth forced Hannah through Muggle primary school and imposed mandatory lessons on social grace and etiquette in her own home.
Hannah used Hogwarts as a way to be herself and get as far away from her mother as possible. She was sorted into her father’s old house, Hufflepuff. After Hogwarts, Hannah’s mother wanted her to go away to Ireland to attend a wizarding etiquette school. But with the coming war, Hannah decided that going to London and becoming a healer would be the best thing for her to do. Her father bought her a small flat in Diagon Alley, where she now lives most of the time.
