Week 2 of college life...and another 30 Day Meme
Sooo, I've been here on campus for two weeks. Well, 13 days to be EXACT, but tomorrow is two weeks exactly.
I'm still liking it a lot. =) Though a lot of my friends live in other dorms and it's a tad annoying to have people coming to my dorm to ask if my roomie is home...*eye roll* Hehe. My friends ARE awesome, I just wish I lived in the same dorm as them! As nice as my dorm is, I would *almost* rather be in one of the others. Almost.
But if I did that then I'd have to use a community shower and nope, I don't care to do that. =) Annd I'd have a smaller room. My room is ginormous and I love it.
I had my first advising session with my first-year advisor today and it went really well - he's my Honors teacher as well as my advisor, so we're all probably going to know him really well by the end of the term, hehe. We just talked about what classes I'm taking and what majors I'm thinking about....he told me if I'm thinking about being an education major (which I AM now, as of like 3 months ago...) then I should decide SOON if that's something I want to try. I can take a class in that department next term to see if I'm interested, and if I'm not, then it will still count toward my required classes that everyone has to take. So, we'll see how that goes.
A lot of people seem really homesick lately. A bunch of people are going home for Labor Day Weekend, myself included (but that's mainly because I want to help Elyse move into her dorm). I feel bad for some people though. =/ One of my friends is really having a rough time getting adjusted to college, which is sad.
I went on a campout last weekend with the Campus Ministries group, which was REALLY fun and EXACTLY what I needed. I was really homesick myself before leaving on the trip, and after the campout things have been soo much better. I got even more connected with the friends I've made and met some new people...AND I haven't been camping in ages, so that was fun. =D
*gigglesnort* My roomie is imitating Julia Child....ahahahaha.
Not much else to report except I HAVE SO MANY CLUBS I WANT TO JOIN I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN. D= ALSO I'M A LITTLE STRESSED OVER HOMEWORK BUT IT'S NOT TOO BAD YET. XD
