Too many books?

I'm beginning to think that MAYBE  I have too many books. I just took a look around my bedroom and saw the large amount of book ond the bookshelves (and on my desk). And some of them are still..."untouched" (sorry, I couldn't find a better word). I still have to read Cervantes' "Don Quixote", Fenoglio's "Il partigiano Johnny", and an "History of Italy" written by Indro Mondanelli (this last one is composed of 12 volumes...sooo long, but I read some parts because of some old school research, it's interesting!).
The fun thing is that althought I tried to organize everything, it's still so caothic: J.K. Rowling is near Montanelli, Carlo Goldoni is near Lewis Carrol, Cormac McCarthy is near Tolkien, Stifter is between Sophocles and Shakespeare and there is this curious proximity between Dante Alighieri and Edgar Allan Poe that makes me wonder whether  I was drunk last time I tidied up.
Some time ago I also thought about taking away some clothes from the wardrobe and putting all the books there...bad idea, really.
Seriously, I need to be more organized...as things are now this is more the Mad Hatter library! XD
Well, at least I respect them...My sister is reading "Madame Bovary", and the way she puts away that poor book (OF MINE) makes me shiver...maybe I should lend her a bookmark...

Talking about books and readings...some weeks ago I ended with Pamela. In these few weeks I also read "Madame Bovary" (yeah, the same book my sister is reading...I liked it, but I'm afraid my sister doesn't agree with me!), and this evening I started with "American Gods" by Gaiman. From what I've read it seems nice, I hope it won't disappoint me! = )

Anyway, here is my "new year promise": to be more neat and not so chaotic! ; )

gaiman, chaos, pamela, organization, american gods, books
