Download Installation Instructions:
Using the
Admin Console:
- Download Zip file of mood images. (Do not hotlink the preview mood images, please!)
- Upload the 132 mood images to your domain, or an image hosting site like Photobucket.com. If you're using Photobucket, I suggest you use the their "bulk uploader" which will upload all 132 images at once. If for some reason that takes too long or doesn't work, I then recomend you download Flock, which allows you to upload images in batches. Do not change the file names.
- Go to the LJ admin console.
- In the text box, paste in the following:
moodtheme_create "Paris, Je T'aime (by hobbitholes)" "whatever you want here..."
>> "Paris, Je T'aime (by hobbitholes)" is what will show up on the drop-down menu when you select a mood theme to use. I recommend using the name of the mood theme as well as the credit to the user who made it, so it's easier for you to remember who to credit in your userinfo. That's the best way I can remember when downloading other's mood themes.
>> "whatever you want here..." is a short description of the mood theme. Put whatever you want here. I usually just put the thing same as the title.
Once you're done, click "execute". If you're successful, the console will give you a number. Copy down this number!
- Open the "01 adminconsolecodes.txt" file. Using the "replace" tool (Edit > Replace) in your notepad program, replace the 12345 number with the number the console gave you previously. Also replace the "http://www.hosting.com/" url with the url to the folder that stores the images on your domain, or the photobucket album direct link (e.g. "http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/b28/Your_Account_Name/Moodthemes/").
- Paste in the edited codes into the admin console, and click execute. You should be directed to a page with your accepted codes. If not, go back and re-do the steps again.
- Now go to your Custom Mood Theme Editor. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and find "Paris, Je T'aime (by hobbitholes)". Click the button "Use" to the right of the three preview images.
- Finally, edit your userinfo to add in the following to the "Bio" box:
Paris, Je T'aime mood theme by hobbitholes
And you're done! Your theme should now be up on your LJ.
Comment if you take :)
