While it was easy to figure out, the Come Together outward solo is a HUGE PAIN IN THE ASS. My tele has a hard time with the whole "22-fret" thing. (My brand-new telecaster, that is! Who cares if it's a knock-off brand? Nobody needs a Fender, anyways - And it's a Samick like my acoustic/electric so I know I can bang it around and it won't die. Yep! And on top of all that, it plays like the $700 Fender I tried out last Spring - Take that, guitarverse!) But I absolutely loooove the bass in this song, and I know David'll be able to pull it off great. Can't wait until he gets back from Champaign and we can start playing again!
And theeeen the rest of the song is just a whole bunch of B5, A5 (A7), D5 (D7), and G5 (G7), which is easy as hell. So, I'm hoping to play rhythm for this one because I'll absolutely suck ass on the whole solo thing, but it could be a good thing to practice with - practice makes perfect huuuuuuur. Right. But not with this. It hurts.
Oh, and I'm blistering and peeling all over from being at the beach all last Friday (Which was tons of fun! I couldn't thank Claudi and her family enough!) but I burned baaaad. I had trouble sleeping the first few nights I had it, but now all's good-ish.
Hunger!
